“Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response.”

Second Lesson: Create your own happiness.
I know I am only on day two... however, I feel this is one of the most important lessons I will learn. Happiness is something we can always carry, and from the lesson I have learned sometimes we can't rely on others to make it for us, rather, we have to create our own good time.
About five months ago, I found out one of my favorite bands, Jack's Mannequin was coming to Oklahoma City. Of course, I freaked and I had planned on going with a few friends from work. Awhile had passed and no one had discussed getting tickets so the day before (great planning on my part!) I asked, and someone said they thought they had sold out. I was so upset! Tickets were so cheap and we let them blow us by. I thought it was okay though, I am sure there was a reason for the tickets passing us up.
So fast forward, next day. I am still pretty bummed about the concert when my best friend Emmie tells me to go. I am still sticking with the the "sold-out" notion. She told me there was no harm in driving to the Diamond Ballroom where the concert was and trying anyway. She definitely had a point. So, two hours later I am there. For real. Getting awesome snapshots. Living out happiness.
Seriously, happiness is happiness. We choose to live it out or close it up.
BEST LESSON EXPERIENCE EVER!
Now, go out, live happy.
